Lynda in miniskirt – 4/30/17

In 1962, the Olympia Blueprint and Copy Company experienced a sharp uptick in customers when employee Linda Burkey began wearing a mid-thigh length dress to work, which her mother had created for her. Shorter hemlines had just started to appear on the fashion scene. Image selected and captioned by Deborah Ross on behalf of the Olympia Historical Society and Bigelow House Museum.
