Due to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) emergency, the Bigelow House Museum will be closed until further notice. Thank you for your patience. For a video tour of the museum led by local historian Shanna Stevenson, visit our Gallery page.
The Bigelow House Museum is unique in being furnished almost entirely with items originally owned by the Bigelow family. Each room tells its own story and is set in a different period of the three-generation occupancy of the house.
Our volunteers and staff are happy to offer guidance and answer questions free of charge on the many historical attractions in Olympia and the South Puget Sound area.
Interior tours are guided and take around 45 minutes. Please check our calendar page for our current schedule. Reservations are not required to tour the Bigelow House during regular hours. Tours are led by a team of dedicated volunteer docents.
To schedule a tour of the Bigelow House Museum outside of normal opening hours, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests for tours outside public hours will be reviewed on an individual basis to determine docent availability.
