Photographer Vibert Jeffers took this photograph in 1942, looking west down Fifth Avenue in downtown Olympia. Many of the buildings in this photograph remain today, including the Capitol Theater on the right side, the Donald building about halfway down the left side, and beyond it, Jeffers’s own studio, the Jeffers Building.
