Looking Back’s theme for 2026 is Downtown by the Decades. The 1950s, 60s and 70s produced several important structures in downtown Olympia. The Evergreen Plaza building, erected in 1972, was jointly financed and constructed by several business owners who were pursuing a goal to add to commercial office space in downtown Olympia. It is considered an important addition to mid-century modern architecture downtown.
