Dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, the home at 202 21st St. SE is one of the older residences in the South Capitol Neighborhood Historic District. It was likely moved to this site in around 1920 by previous owner Janet Moore, possibly for use as a rental (her own residence is nearby at 401 17th Ave SW). Though having undergone substantial changes over the years, this “Homestead house” is typical of early settler era houses.
The home is located in the South Capitol National Historic Neighborhood.
